The difficulty of a game decreases after a certain period of inactivity. This means that the more you play the game, the more difficult it becomes, but after a period of inactivity, the difficulty level gradually decreases as well.
If you do not play, the difficulty level of the games will decrease gradually, with 1 level subtracted over 12 hours.
