# 8. How power is measured?

Your share of the mined Block depends on your mining power, which is measured in GigaHash per second (Gh/s). Your mining power relative to the pool power (the cumulative power of all users) determines the portion of a mined Block you will receive.

As your power increases, you will encounter not only Gh/s, but also Th/s, Ph/s, and beyond.

The conversion between these measurements is as follows:

* 1 000 Gh/s = 1 Th/s
* 1 000 Th/s = 1 Ph/s
* 1 000 Ph/s = 1 Eh/s
* 1 000 Eh/s = 1 Zh/s
