# 9. Why can’t I split my Power?

Keep in mind that any adjustments you make to your **power split** in RollerCoin will be **locked for 12 hours**.

* Once you redistribute your mining power, you **won’t be able to make further changes** until the 12-hour period has passed.
* To **maximize your earnings**, carefully consider your power distribution before applying changes.
